About the role
Quwwat-ul-Islam Society, which runs Upton Lane Mosque in Forest Gate, is recruiting teachers for its weekend madrasah. Classes run on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 12:30pm during the madrasah's academic year.
The madrasah follows a structured syllabus and aims to give children from Newham and nearby areas a grounded Islamic identity, good manners and confidence. Teachers lead interactive lessons in which pupils discuss and build their understanding of Islam with their teacher and classmates. All staff who work with pupils have DBS checks.
It suits qualified, skilled teachers who enjoy working with children and want to help nurture the next generation. Applications are made through the madrasah's online teacher vacancy form.
Full details and how to apply are on the employer's website.
