About the role
Quwwat-ul-Islam Girls' School in Forest Gate, east London, is looking for a part-time Mathematics Intervention Teacher to work with Key Stage 4 pupils.
You will teach the pupils assigned to you according to their needs, set and mark work, assess progress and report on it, and help plan lessons and schemes of work with colleagues. The aim is for pupils to make better than expected progress, including those with special educational needs. The role also includes cover, supervision duties, occasional assemblies and supporting school events.
It suits a degree-educated teacher, ideally with QTS, who explains maths clearly, manages behaviour with warmth and firmness, and keeps up to date with the National Curriculum.
