These terms

These terms apply when you visit the site, create an account or sign up for job alerts. If you post jobs or manage an organisation, our employer terms apply as well. How we use personal information is explained in our privacy notice.

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What the site does

Muslim Charity Jobslists jobs and volunteer roles with Muslim charities, relief organisations, masjids, madrasahs and community organisations in the UK, and with other charities. Some listings are posted by the employers themselves. Others we find on employers' own websites and list for them (see sourced listings).

The site is free for job seekers. We don't charge you to search, apply, save jobs or get job alerts.

We are not the employer

• Each job is offered by the organisation named on it, not by us. We are not an employment agency or employment business, and we don't take part in recruitment decisions.
• When you apply, you usually apply on the employer's own website or by email to them. What happens next is between you and the employer, under their terms and their privacy notice.
• We check listings before they go live, but we can't promise that every detail is accurate, that a job is still open, or that you will be offered it. Check the details with the employer before you rely on them.
• Never pay an employer or anyone else to apply for a job, and never send bank details or identity documents before you are sure an offer is genuine. If a listing looks wrong, use "Report this job" on the listing or contact us.

Your account

• Give your real name and an email address you can use. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
• You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing hello@muslimcharityjobs.co.uk.

Job alerts

Job alerts are emails about new jobs that match a search you choose. You can sign up without an account. We only send them after you confirm your email address, and every alert email has a link to unsubscribe.

Using the site fairly

Please don't:

• use the site for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or to harass anyone;
• send false reports, or pretend to be someone else or to act for an organisation you don't represent;
• copy listings or other content in bulk, or scrape, crawl or index the site by automated means, except for search engines following our robots.txt;
• try to get round our security, our checks or our limits, or upload anything that contains malicious code.

We may suspend or close an account, or block access to the site, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

Our content

The site's design, text and logo belong to us or the people who license them to us. Job listings belong to the employers who wrote them. You may view, print and share individual listings for your own job search. Some data on the site comes from third parties under open licences: see data attributions.

Availability

We aim to keep the site running and accurate, but we provide it as it is and as available. We may change, pause or stop any part of it, and we may update listings or remove them.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, because the site is free for job seekers, we are not responsible for loss caused by a listing, by an employer or by relying on the site, or for any indirect loss. If you use the site as a consumer, you keep all your rights under consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change matters to account holders, we will tell them by email before it applies.

Complaints and the law that applies

If something has gone wrong, please tell us: see contact and complaints. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your own courts.
