About the role

Safar Academy, a weekend Islamic school with five branches, is recruiting two senior Islamic Studies and Tajwid teachers for its Edmonton and Slough branches. Classes run on Saturday and Sunday mornings and both days are required.

Teachers deliver the Safar syllabus: Qur'an and Qaidah, Islamic studies, essential duas and surahs, and basic Arabic, in a fun and engaging way. The role includes training on the syllabus, managing behaviour, marking homework and term exams, and helping with events such as presentation days and trips.

The posts suit an Alim or Alimah with three or more years' teaching experience, fluent English and strong tajwid.
